Ensuring the appropriate data is identified, gathered and analyzed has been proven critical to enacting improvements.

Long recognized as a deterrent to a safe, high quality healthcare environment, professional conduct issues which compromise patient safety will become a key focus of organizations such as The Joint Commission (TJC) beginning in 2009.
