Quantros and Four Rivers Announce Live Integration Between Quantros Safety and Risk
Management (SRM) and the Four Rivers TMS Product Suite
New Offering Provides Seamless Access to Device Information Between Industry Leading Applications
San Francisco, CA-April 26, 2007 - Today Quantros and Four Rivers announced a new data interface
offering that provides for two-way data integration between its industry leading applications. This integration will
provide Quantros SRM clients using the Four Rivers TMS Product Suite with critical device data for use in adverse event
management and reporting. Using this data further enhances tracking of device related errors and provides historical
information and trend data for improving safety and quality within a healthcare provider's environment. This integration
will also provide SRM users with crucial, complementary device related data that will further enhance decision support
capability. Further, data concerning the device error will be put back into the TMS system providing an even more robust
device history repository.
"The emphasis on tracking and reporting device related errors is vital to improving safety and quality and is in line with
our continuing drive towards interoperable data systems," states Dr. Sanjaya Kumar, President and CMO of Quantros, Inc. "The
ability to identify the actual component involved in a medical error or near-miss is vital to healthcare safety. The
integration with Four Rivers device data further enhances capabilities already present within the Quantros SRM system."
With Four Rivers and Quantros SRM, healthcare providers get a wealth of device specific data for event tracking, historical reference
and submission of related errors to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other external agencies. The entire
integration provides real-time access of TMS device data within the SRM system for data entry auto-population, management
and reporting. The entire integration between Four Rivers and SRM takes place in a HIPAA compliant environment.
Integration between the TMS Product Family and SRM is accomplished using a TMS SDK and a live SRM/TMS interface with
built-in algorithms via the Quantros Platform. This implementation construct minimizes IT resource demands for
healthcare providers while increasing access to secondary data systems.
"This integration is a natural extension for the TMS family of applications." Noted Henry Wilde, Chairman & CEO of
Four Rivers, Inc. "Providing accurate data for incident reporting and further populating our database with relevant
error data further ensures healthcare organizations have a complete historical reference for the devices used in
treating patients."
