Quantros Staff Member Named to Florida Association for Healthcare Quality
Donna Scott, Director of Product Management, to Help Lead Quality Improvement Efforts in the State
May 29, 2008 - San Francisco, CA - Quantros, a leading provider of real-time quality, safety and risk management, and accreditation and compliance software solutions for the healthcare industry, is pleased to announce that Donna Scott, RN, CPHQ, LHRM was named to the Board of Directors for the Florida Association for Healthcare Quality (FAHQ) in April 2008. Ms. Scott has been an active participant and supporter of FAHQ for years and, along with her board peers, will help chart Florida’s ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
Sam Elizondo, the President Elect of FAHQ noted, Donna is a welcome addition to our Board of Directors. Her broad clinical experience coupled with her expertise in safety and passion for quality improvement fit perfectly with the ongoing leadership criteria for our organization. We look forward to working closely with Donna over the coming year as we help enact further initiatives aimed at ensuring Florida hospitals provide its patients with the safest and highest quality of care.
Ms. Scott joined Quantros in 2007 and is Director of Product Management for Quantros’ Accreditation and Compliance Excellence Solution (ACE) and also leads the company’s Insight Suite of Solutions designed for real-time surveillance and decision support for infection control, pharmacological vigilance and care guidance. She has 32 years experience in healthcare, including the last 15 years in leadership roles guiding performance improvement, Joint Commission preparation, resource management and patient safety.
As healthcare continues to evolve increased education, awareness and shared learning are vital components to sustained quality improvement,” said Scott, who is based in Tampa, FL. “FAHQ has done so much to help improve patient care across the state. I look forward to helping continue the momentum started by others within the organization and looking for new ways to ensure those in Florida receive the best possible care.
During her career, Scott has served on the front lines, managing units and working in critical care for open heart surgery and neo-natal care. Keenly interested in the electronic and technical side of her profession, she moved into the quality area to concentrate on patient safety. She now looks for the right tools to make things easier for both healthcare professionals and clients.
