Quantros and the American National Standards Institute Offer ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 Standards to Healthcare Providers
Inclusion of globally-recognized QMS and EMS Standards in Quantros ACE allows for more rapid, systematic collection of data and a reduction in administrative costs for healthcare providers tracking ISO compliance
San Francisco, CA - August 24, 2007 - Quantros and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) have established a new agreement to enhance the usability of the world's leading standards for quality management (ISO 9001:2000) and environmental management (ISO 14001:2004) by the healthcare community. These standards are now an integral component of Quantros' Accreditation & Compliance Excellence (ACE) application.
Quantros ACE is a Web-based, enterprise-wide application for managing and reporting accreditation, certification and compliance self-monitoring activities that are applicable to healthcare providers. Quantros ACE is designed to automate, streamline and make efficient standards compliance self-monitoring activities that are required of healthcare facilities. Quantros ACE users will now be able to use ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 from within the application to author and create reviews and surveys to collect compliance data, manage compliance activities and work-flow, and generate compliance reports for analysis as part of their quest for ISO certification. In addition there will be a cross-walk between the ISO Standards and agency or regulatory standards. Customers will be able to collect data once and use it to satisfy multiple regulatory and voluntary certification requirements.
Quantros ACE enables healthcare organizations to lower their cost for conducting and supporting standards compliance related processes and activities. This allows healthcare facilities to efficiently pinpoint opportunities for improvement, better target efforts and resources at fixing problem areas, and be able to monitor specific standards for compliance over time. Quantros ACE is growing its library of standards based review/survey templates to assist in and maintain a "state of continued readiness."
"The relationship with Quantros furthers expands and provides an avenue of ready access for healthcare facilities to pursue ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 certification," said Bob Feghali, ANSI vice president of business development and chief information officer.. "Having these standards made available through the Quantros ACE application will allow facilities to more effectively monitor compliance with globally recognized requirements for continual quality improvement."
"The addition of ISO standards to the Quantros ACE application represents a further expansion of our solution to support the ever increasing requirements and burden on healthcare providers to efficiently manage accreditation, certification and compliance activities across the numerous accrediting agencies" said Dr. Sanjaya Kumar, President & CMO at Quantros. "Providing the ability for our customers to leverage the most widely recognized ISO standards via the Quantros ACE application allows for greater synergy and efficiency in maintaining compliance. We are excited about the benefit our clients will receive as part of this agreement."
