Quantros Acquires DoctorQuality's Incident Report Application (RPM)

Acquisition Enhances Company Position as Market Leader in Web-Based Incident Occurrence Reporting

Quantros, a leading provider of real-time, web-based accreditation, compliance, and performance improvement solutions for the healthcare industry, announced today the acquisition of DoctorQuality?s? adverse event and near miss data collection and reporting application, RPM. As two of the most prominent leaders in patient safety applications and programs, the combined entity now represents the market leader in web-based incident and occurrence reporting tools with a growing database in excess of 200,000 occurrences.

The acquisition of RPM will complement Quantros' Occurrence Report Management (ORM) application providing hospitals and other healthcare providers with a an even more comprehensive product line which enables the rapid and easy recording and tracking of incident and near incident events such as medication errors and falls. The real-time web-based tool supports automated distribution and follow-up of incident information to appropriate risk management, clinical and other staff as well as the secure aggregation, reporting, and benchmarking of incident data by facility characteristics. These products will, in sum, house the largest database of events and near misses in the United States serving hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, rehabilitation centers and home health agencies nationwide.
