NEWS Quantros Launches Integrated JCAHO Core Measures / CMS 7th Scope of Work Solution to Eliminate Redundant Data Entry
Clients of Quantros Partners Solucient, Missouri Hospital Association and American Data Network Can Spend Time on Improving Quality Instead of Collecting Data
Quantros, a leading provider of real-time, web-based benchmarking, accreditation, and performance improvement solutions for the healthcare industry, has announced the launch of its Integrated Core Measures and 7th Scope of Work Solution at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's 14th Annual Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care in Orlando.
The Quantros Integrated Solution provides the first real-time, web-based platform for hospitals to meet the data collection and submission requirements of both the Joint Commission on Accreditation's (JCAHO's) Core Measures and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS's) 7th Scope of Work. The
system's clinical upload module allows organizations to seamlessly "pull" data to support either or both programs from existing clinical data sets, such as the National Registry of Myocardial Infarction (NRMI) -- completely eliminating the need for additional data entry.
"Although CMS provides hospitals with a stand-alone system to collect 7th Scope of Work data, much of the data that hospitals collect to support the program is redundant with what they already collect for Core Measures or NRMI.Why should many organizations have to do the same work twice or even three
times? The Quantros Integrated Solution eliminates dual-data entry, automatically pulls data from existing clinical data sets, and frees busy healthcare professionals to concentrate on what matters most -- improving the quality of patient care," said Rajnish Mishra, President and CEO of Quantros.
Nearly 400 hospitals across the nation currently license the Quantros Core Measures Solution through JCAHO-listed vendors such as Solucient, Missouri Hospital Association (MHA), and American Data Network (ADN).
"We're excited to bring our Core Measures client hospitals the ability to use the same easy-to-use, web-based tool for both Core Measures and 7th Scope of Work. Once again Quantros has listened to the voice of hospital performance improvement professionals and delivered a solution that will not only save time but will allow them to improve the performance of their organizations," said Kaveh Safavi, Senior Vice President, General Manager, Clinical for Solucient.
Because the Quantros Integrated Solution is web-based, healthcare organizations can collaboratively benchmark their performance -- in real time and with minimal IT support. "Having a single, easy-to-use, web-based tool for both Core Measures and 7th Scope of Work provides our member hospitals
with a common collaborative platform for benchmarking and sharing performance improvement opportunities among themselves -- while significantly easing the burden that data collection for both programs has historically required," said Dwight Fine, Executive Vice President for MHA.
"When our clients told us that they were conducting multiple iterations of chart review to meet similar data collection requirements for the various programs, we dedicated ourselves to provide them with a 'better way'. Our partners at Quantros have more than delivered," said Cole Williamson, CEO of American Data Network.
Solucient, American Data Network and MHA will notify their client hospitals of the availability and pricing of the 7th Scope of Work and clinical upload system upgrades.
"Having the technology, the clinical expertise, and the partnership of world-class organizations like American Data Network, MHA, and Solucient allows us to provide solutions that make quality improvement that much easier for healthcare organizations," said Sanjaya Kumar, Chief Medical Officer for
Quantros.
