A new study on the quality of the nation’s hospitals gave high marks to the state of Florida and high marks to Jacksonville’s hospitals in several specialty categories. However, the study gave Florida’s hospitals low marks for patient satisfaction.
Hospital rating company CareChex compiled the rankings based on federal survey data.
In the overall quality ranking, Florida ranked 8th. In the patient satisfaction ranking, Florida ranked 49th. CareChex said it found little correlation between the two rankings, as a number of states had disparate rankings on the two lists.
